Any visitor to Madrid will immediately notice its beautiful, varied architecture and abundance of incredible museums. However, it's difficult to fully appreciate the Spanish art that surrounds you without learning its history and context first.
For this very reason we offer the Spanish + Art History Course, a great option for those who want to learn all about Spanish Art History with the most important examples just a short walk away in Madrid's musuems - the Prado, Reina Sofia, Fine Arts Academy and the Thyssen, to name a few.
We will reflect on some of Spain's most important trends and artistic representations in a variety of mediums and study the influence of the major civilizations that have passed through Spain: Roman, Moorish, Mudéjar, Renaissance, Baroque, etc. We will also look at some of Spain’s most representative painters including Goya, Velasquez, Picasso, Miró, Dalí...
